Re: Paddington Bear
hahahaha

Had plenty of chances to qualify before but if it takes beating a team that could only finish 5th in a 10 team S American qualifying group on pens then so be it.

Very average team at the moment but they are going unlike the Italians and Scots.

Re: Paddington Bear
But you don’t support Australia at football, as you’ve said before, you pick and choose. So I’m not sure why you give a shit.

Disappointing, la Blanquirrojas are a bit like west ham, having a habit of fucking it up when they are on the cusp of glory.

Re: Paddington Bear
Australia is like Milton Keynes Dons getting to the third round of the F.A.Cup…..all a bit meh, whereas Peru are steeped in ancient South American history and would have added a bit of intrigue…..the lack of support for Australia at the game was embarrassing too….

Side - Yea agree, the Aussies bring nothing to the party, bland and shit, and these days really shit. At least Peru have THAT kit.

It seemed like half the population of Peru turned up in Russia last time around.
Unfortunately, for them, the players didn't.

Re: Paddington Bear
Can remember that the Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou qualified Australia for the 2018 WC then said Football Australia needed to do more to achieve more than JUST QUALIFYING.
He resigned before the finals because he didnt think they agreed.

This is categorically the worst Australian team this century and a long way from the 2003/2006 team which smashed England at Upton Park & made the knockout rounds of the 2006 World Cup.
Qualifying is obviously a good thing as hopefully some young players will get the experience at this level but more needs to be done.
Its France and Denmark again as in 2018 with Tunisia as the 4th team.

The final place at the World Cup is decided tonight in Qatar with New Zealand playing Costa Rica.
Has it been decided which is the right team of those to qualify?

ps Peru have done fuck all since they beat Scotland in 1978
If they are the 5th best team in S America that group is obviously a walk in the park for Brazil, Argentina & Uruguay
Would have been well beaten by the better Asian teams ... Japan, S Korea & Saudi Arabia
